Whitetail hunting strategy game · In development
RunTheHunt puts you in charge of a whitetail deer hunt. Read the wind. Choose your ground. Plan the way in. Decide when to sit, when to move and when to let a deer walk.
A browser game from RackIQ about the decisions that shape the whole hunt, from a day off work to the last stretch of a blood trail.
The game is not released. The preview is unfinished; features and balance may change. Free browser access is planned. No launch date has been announced.
Every choice has a cost
Spend a hunt credit today or save it for a better forecast. Choose public or private ground, study the terrain and consider wind, access and hunting pressure.
Choose where to park, how to walk in, which stand to hunt and what gear to carry. Balance distance, scent, energy and how long you are willing to sit.
Call, wait or let a deer walk. Decide whether a shot is there, choose the timing and placement, then decide how long to wait before following the blood trail.
The challenge is decision-making. A good plan can end in an empty sit; the debrief separates the plan from the result inside the simulation.
Two ways to hunt
Your vacation days are limited. So are your budget, energy and tags. Scout, hunt or rest. Work through the changing rut, manage pressure on your spots and decide which gear deserves a place in the truck.
The same daily scenario for every player: the same ground, weather and simulated deer. Make your first call count, then use practice replays to explore what a different decision changes.
Know before you go
RunTheHunt is a whitetail hunting strategy game in development from RackIQ. You make the decisions around a hunt: when to go, which ground to hunt, how to get in, where to sit, what to carry, when to take a shot and how to handle recovery.
The focus is planning and judgment, rather than aiming reflexes. Shot timing and placement are decisions within the simulation, alongside wind, access, patience and recovery.
You manage limited hunt credits, an in-game budget, energy and tags across a simulated deer season. Hunt credits stand in for vacation days. Choose between hunting, scouting and resting, and weigh better gear against the rest of your budget.
Today's Hunt gives players the same daily scenario, with the same ground, weather and simulated deer. Your first attempt is the scored attempt; replays let you practice different decisions.
Free browser access is planned. The current development build has no real-money purchases. Optional upgrades, sponsorships and launch offers are still being decided.
